For this Fabulous Finds Friday I wanted to post on some of the best Father's day gifts and DIY projects I've discover floating around Pinterest.
Okay that makes it sound like I don't spend hours pinning my fanny off and listening to my husband suggest Pin-therapy...but hey, I know I'm not alone in my addiction!
Speaking of too much pinning....
You know that moment when you log onto Pinterest and you see what's at the top of your newsfeed? You know, the stuff that Pinterest has oh so nicely "picked for you?"
Well I logged in today and guess what I saw?! My own pin being ranked and picked for me! I was super excited because that meant my pins were now getting ranked in search results! (happy dance here)
Not only did I also find this ironic, but funny that Pinterest thought I might enjoy re-pinning my own pin picked for me. You know which came first the chicken or the egg? At least that's what it reminded me of.

Okey dokey back to the focus of the post.
I'm going to share my favorite DIY Fathers day gifts that can be made by your kiddos to their Daddy. And of my favorite products I've found for us wifeys to give to our hubbys.
Great Gifts ideas for your Husband on Father's Day
Bullet Beer Opener- You know your husband needs a gift as cool as he is, not to mention that cold beer he will be cracking open.

Did you really think with the release of Star Wars last year I wouldn't find something for those nerdy Dads, um I mean, those totally cool guys. Actually I find this totally awesome myself. I almost want one. But I think I would opt for Snow White eating the apple instead of crushing it with the Force. Unless of course Darth Vader is planning to make some yummy apple crisp!

Okay I laughed when I found this one. A target alarm clock.
Perfect to show your alarm clock just how you feel for waking you from your slumbering dreams. And if you're into target practice you get that in too.

I'd like to end this section of the post with a reminder to us ladies to do more for our men then just gifts on Fathers Day. We need to be an encourager and helper to our spouse. You may have personal ways or beliefs of doing it. Here are a couple of things I like to do.
Pray for your Husband- Source here

It's important to remember that husbands need our prayers too. They may not grow children inside their bodies, birth, feed, and provide daily care the way some Moms do, but they are providers in our homes and leaders that still need help from the Man upstairs to guide and care for the family.
Build your Husbands up- Source here

As wives we need to build up our husbands. A lot of times I personally feel like it's his soul job to encourage me and make me feel happy with what I'm dong. But it's a two way street. Take time to tell your man all the things you love that he does.
Alright back to the crafty stuff....
DIY Gifts for Dad from the Kids

Foot print plates
These are great fun to make and very memorable to look back and see how those little toes grow!
If you kids are old enough you can always take them to a 'Paint your own pottery' place for a fun afternoon!
I made one of these for my hubby, Michael, the Christmas after our daughter Christabella was born.
Mine is not quite as perfect as the one I found on Pinterest, but it has more character and charm that way right?
Art books

I actually found this idea under a DIY Mothers Day link, but I figured Daddy's would enjoy it too.
If your kids love to draw or, ahem... scribble, then why not comply it into a nice sketch book?

And just to throw a whole lot of ideas at you check this article out from Tip Junkie's 32 of the best homemade gifts for Father's Day.

Desserts for Fathers day
My husband loves 3 things more then anything when it comes to his sweet tooth... peanut butter, pretzels, popcorn...
Here are a couple yummies to make for your hubbies.

I haven't made this recipe yet but I think I'll give it a try this year!
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE DIPPED PEANUT BUTTER STUFFED PRETZELS from Baker by Nature

I have made chocolate covered pretzels before and there are a hubby pleaser (okay I confess they keep this wifey happy too) I've never given the whole peanut butter idea a try yet, but when I show my husband the recipe I know he will drool. Yours probably will too! (Update: He did)

Need I say more to this? My hubby is more of a popcorn nut then I am but even I would be into this ! I mean YUM!

This is what I made last year for Fathers day. I think I made it Friday and we had it polished off by Sunday evening. This one won't last long in the house you all. It case you didn't catch my drift this one is super YUMMM!'
