DIY paper dahlia flowers.
Happy New Year to my awesome readers!
I'm welcoming the new year with lots of new designs and projects. I finally found a few minutes (okay, let's be real..forced myself) to sit down and write a long over due blog post!
I have already kicked the year off with many new ideas such as camellia flowers, new roses, tulip peonies, angel cheek peonies and even have started a new exciting project about building paper dresses! Plus I have received requests to use my paper flowers in "styled stock photos" for small business use!
Sneak peak of the dress project..
And a peak at some styled photo shots..
And finally a sneak peak at some more new flower designs coming out soon!
Tulip Peony
Angel cheek peony
All these exciting concepts will arrive in your email box over the next 3 months. Plus some FREEBIES, like templates and stock photos!
Among the numerous designs I already named, I am also continuing to write my first of a 3 part series ebook to be released in the Spring (with a lot of prayers, sweat, blood and tears!)
Needless to say you can figure out my plate isn't just full but overflowing.
And I really shouldn't have had all those extra cookies and pie at the holidays because this crafty Mom needs some extra workout time!
I'm also in the middle of designing many book proposals to send out to several publishers in hope of getting my books in print in 2018.
Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer that I can "wow" them enough to get a publishing deal!
While I'm juggling that I still want to make time to keep up with my much appreciated readers!
So with that, let's get to today's new flower.
Introducing the Ruffle Dahlia...
I first created a dahlia only a few months into designing flowers when I started almost 7 years ago.
My original (and still very popular) dahlia template.
Something about this template is so fun to make!
Find this template here:
The original video which has over 4k views! Yay!
Templates are for personal use. Please do not resell the designs as your own. Thanks!
So when the new year dawned I decided a new dahlia had to come with it.

Pin this idea for later!
